Lukashenka delays state-of-the-nation address
It is yet to be announced when Alexander Lukashenka will appear at the National Assembly with the traditional state-of-the-nation address. He was expected to arrive at the parliament yesterday but left for the Hrodna region in a surprise move.
Lukashenka's spokesman Pavel Lyohki told the European Radio for Belarus that it was still unknown when the head of the state would address the lawmakers and the nation:
“Very soon. I cannot tell you the exact date yet”.
Perhaps, Alexander Lukashenka's speech-writers are not yet ready to table the text of the address on the president's desk. The press office refused to provide contacts of the speechwriters.
