Lukashenka to talk to Medvedev eye to eye
Alyaksandr Lukashenka has left for Moscow. A meeting of the Higher State Council of the union state will take place there on February 3. It is planned that Alyaksandr Lukashenka will talk to Dmitrii Medvedev “eye to eye” before the meeting. BelTA reports that participants of the meeting will discuss measures needed to prevent the influence of the world financial crisis on the economies of Belarus and Russia. The leaders of the two countries will also consider the possibility of expansion of the Belarusian-Russian cooperation, namely in the trade and economy fields and the cooperation of both countries in the financial and credit sphere.
