Lukashenka wants Sheiman to resign
Sources among the Security Council staff say that the president became angry after he did not see Sheiman at his office when he arrived at he Security Council on Saturday.
Several days after, the agency staff started talking about a possible resignation of their boss.
Last weeend, Sheiman was deprived of personal guards which he had used over the passed five years despite the fact that his status was not entitled to this service.
People close to the state secretary maintain that earlier when the situation would become critical for Sheiman, he would always threaten Lukashenka to commit suicide if the president fired him.
According to unofficial information, Victor Sheiman could be sent to an honorable exile to serve as the Belarus Ambassador to Venezuela.
The European Union and the United States suspect that Sheiman masterminded the disapperances of several leaders of the Belarusian opposition. He remains on their non-entry black list of Belarus officials.
