Lukashenka wants West to recognise new parliament
The Belarusian authorities are interested in having a new parliament recognised by the international community after the elections on September 28, Alexander Lukashenka said Monday at the meeting on the course of election campaign. But the Belarusian leader believes that the parliament should be respected by Belarusians in the first place. Lukashenka maintains that the authorities in Belarus have done everything to ensure that the electoral process is open, fair and democratic.
According to the Belarusian leader, the Belarusian authorities have created unprecedented conditions of transparency during this campaign by having invited anyone to monitor the polls. Lukashenka noted that over 400 international observers have been accredited in Belarus as of now. This figure will have increased 2.5 times by September 28, Election Day, reports Interfax
