Lukashenka: we scrambled out of the situation which Russia had put us into
The Head of the State said that Belarus had got out of the situation which Russia had put it into in the beginning of the year. He made this statement at the consultative meeting which took place at Mazyr oil processing plant, answering the question about the work of the oil processing branch, informs BelaPAN.
Aliaksandr Lukashenka underlined that the aim of his visit to the Mazyr oil processing plant was to find out what had changed recently directly from the specialists, who headed different branches.
Speaking about the positive changes in the situation with raw hydrocarbons supply, Lukashenka stressed that he was not going to end it in a war with Russia, he was just looking for an alternative. He also confirmed the plans of Belarus to increase oil shipments from Venezuela in the future.
According to the Head of the "Belnaftahim" concern Valery Kazakevich, Belarusian oil processing plants now can process all the planned scope of raw materials. The Director of the Mazyr oil processing plant Anatol Kupryjanau informed, in his turn, that the enterprise was then under reconstruction and modernization, which would allow increasing of oil processing by 5 million tons or more per year.
Valery Kazakevich underlined that the Mazyr oil processing plant would reach last year's volume of output, including processing of the secondary raw materials, by the end of the year; moreover, there might be an increase in the future.
