Lyabedzka agrees to replace UDF platform with candidate's program

Anatol Lyabedzka, the leader of the United Civic Party, his fellow party members Stanislau Bahdankevich and Hanna Yahorava will publish their own programs instead of the platform of the United Pro-Democracy Forces (UDF) in the national state-owned newspaper Respublika.
The newspaper has refused to publish the UDF platform designed as the programs of three MP candidates. The Central Elections Commission advised the opposition politicians to split the whole platform into three separate programs, Anatol Lyabedzka told the European Radio for Belarus.

“Officials at the Central Elections Commission told us we should not blow the fire and that the issue could be resolved. We responded that we were ready to replace the platform with our programs. But we will not change the text of the platform".

According to the politician, the issue about the publication of their campaign materials would be resolved within the next several hours.
