L.Yarmoshyna meets representatives of OSCE mission

The head of the Belarusian Central Election Commission Lidziya Yarmoshyna met representatives of a technical OSCE mission on June 10.
It is a preliminary group that came to the country to study the conditions of the future election campaign. These people are technical experts rather than those who take the decision to send a mission of observers, noted L.Yarmoshyna.

According to her, they discussed the preparatory measures taken before the beginning of the coming election campaign. They were also interested in the issue of participation of political parties in the elections. Belarus expressed its requests concerning the mission. In particular, the requests concerned the head of the mission, the open and public work of the mission itself and the presentation of copies of acts mentioning violations found during the election campaign or voting.

Representatives of the OSCE mission will stay in Minsk until June 12. They will give an account of the technical work of the mission of observers in Belarus that will be available on the bureau’s website and will be sent to the Belarusian authorities.
