Man who smashed his car into a 'live shield' is wanted by police
Raman Mentsyuk who on April 2 smahsed into a live shield of civilian vehicles organized by the traffice police has been officially wanted by the police, Belarus Deputy Interior Minister Viktar Filistovich said in a statement. He said a criminal case has been opened against Mentsyuk, reports Belapan.
On April 2 a traffic police patrol failed to stop a speeding Volkswagen Golf controlled by drunk Mentsyuk. According to the witnesses, the traffice police blocked the road with civilian vehicles in order to stop the speeding driver near Minsk. People inside the vehicles, including a child, were not told to get off their cars.
A criminal case has also been opened against four traffice police officers on charges of power abuse.
