Maniac to stand trial in Vicebsk
The regional office of the prosecutor in Vicebsk has forwarded to a local court the criminal case of a serial raper who attacked women in one of the city's districts for several years. He would usually cover his face with a black sock when raping his victims.
The maniac committed his first crime in 2005, when he attacked a high-school student. In 2006, he raped two more teenage girls. His next victim managed to escape.
The maniac was detained last year. The 33-year-old resident of Vicebsk is charged with 11 counts, including robbery, violent attacks, rape and aliment evasion. He had earlier been prosecuted for attacks on women, reports our correspondent Jadviha Staseuskaja in Vicebsk.
