Medical profession’s salary to be increased in Belarus

The Minster of Health Protection of Belarus Vasil Zharko has promised to increase the salaries of medical workers. However, only some categories of medical workers, mainly subspecialty categories, will be lucky to get the increase in 2008. The Ministry of Health protection and the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection are working on the package now.

The Minister also noted that the average monthly salary of medical workers totalled 596 thousand roubles last year, informs “Interfax”.
