Mega picket of opposition candidates organized near GUM
The democratic forces are organizing a mega picket on the last signature collection day – October 29. The press secretary of the “Tell the Truth!” campaign Yuliya Rymasheuskaya has informed ERB about it. The event will take place near GUM – the most popular place, note signature collectors. Representatives of different democratic forces will gather there. Rymasheuskaya: "On the one hand, we are going to demonstrate our attitude to pickets and to collection of signatures as an important part of the election process for our society. On the other hand, we hope it will be the first step on the way to uniting the democratic forces of Belarus. It is only the first step on the way to looking for a single candidate”.
According to Nyaklyayeu’s initiative group, signature collectors from different regions will take part in the mega picket. They will organize a festive removal of the “24/7” tent “Picket 24” that worked from October 12 till October 29.
Mrs. Rymasheuskaya has added that all representatives of democratic forces except for Ales Mihalevich have promised to be present at the meeting.
