Memorial group collects memoires about Stalinist repressions
Memorial, a human rights section of the Belarusian Society for the Protection of Historic and Cultural Heritage, has begun collecting the memoires for an internet portal about the Belarusian victims of Stalinism, Uladzimir Ramanouski, Memorial's deputy head, told Belapan.The portal is scheduled to be launched in spring. The site will host the testimonies of the people who survived the Soviet correctional system -- Gulag and the system of Stalinist repressions as well as the tesimonies of their relatives and an e-library.
Ramanouski noted that the memoires are audio or video taped with the consent of the people.
