Minister: No sharp increase planned for utilities tariffs
There are no grounds for a sharp increase in tariffs for utilities bills paid by the population, Belarus Utilities Minister Uladzimir Belakhvostaw said in a statement after a meeting with the head of the state. According to the minister, only those services, including the tariffs for thermal and electrical energy and gas, were raised to compensate the losses of the housing and utilities companies.
Proposals are being drawn to raise the tariffs for households beginning from the next year, said the press office of the Belarus's president.
