Ministry of Education's permit for going abroad to be abolished

A law bill "On Counter-measures against people trafficking" contains a correspondent norm. The bill is now under consideration of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of Belarus, the deputy head of the National Security Committee of the House of Representatives Uladzimir Vasilenka has said to BELTA.

According to the current legislation, all students who have an intention to go abroad within the academic year should obtain a corresponding permit in the Ministry of Education. 

This permit is mostly a formality. The authors of the bill suggest to abolish it in connection with this, so students will only have to get permit of their educational establishment. 

The law bill is to be considered in the first reading at the spring session of the House of Representatives which will open on April 4, 2011.
