Ministry of Information not to register Internet editions as mass media

The Belarusian Ministry of Information is not going to register Internet editions as mass media. The deputy Minister Liliya Ananich informed about it on February 6. According to her, such registration is not mentioned in the law as well as the notion of Internet editions. The law on mass media that will come into power on February 8 does not regulate the terms of registration and distribution of such mass media.

In the opinion of the deputy Minister, there are Internet editions in Belarus. However she claimed that there were no legal acts concerning them.
