Minor Tatstsyana Kazyra returns home from USA
A 16-year-old Belarusian Tatstsyana Kazyra has returned home. According to BelaPAN, she arrived from the USA on November 23. Let us remind you that T.Kazyra visited the USA for 9 years on end with the help of the Chernobyl children recreation programme and spent her vacations with the Zapatos. Tanya was supposed to leave San-Francisco for Minsk with a group of Belarusian children on August 5 but did not arrive at the airport. It turned out that the girl had sent documents to the immigration service to prolong her guest visa and stay in the USA to wait for the authorities’ decision. A representative of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affaires Pavel Shydlouski was sent to the USA. He met T.Kazyra several times but she refused to return home.
An official petition signed by Nadzeya Novik – Tatstsyana Kazyra’s grandmother and tutor – arrived at the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affaires on November 20. According to the press service of the ministry, the girl “took an unambiguous decision to return home”.
Let us remind you that Belarus has suspended Belarusian children’s recreation programmes abroad due to this incident.
