Minsk court to hear complaint from Brest-based oppositionist

The Minsk City Court is scheduled on February 13 to hear a complaint filed by Yury Bakura, an opposition activist from Brest, against the Central District Court's ruling which fined the activist for taking part in the January 21 entrepreneurs' protest, human rights lawyer Raman Kislyak told Belapan.
Bakura was fined with Br1,400,000 ($700) on January 22. The acticist from Brest appealed the ruling on January 30.

Similar complaints were also filed by Kanstantsin Balahura and Andrei Sharenda, two more activists from Brest. They were also fined for taking part in the January 21 unauthorized protest of small-size entrepreneurs in Minsk to Br1,750,000 and Br700,000 correspondingly.
