Minsk to introduce single e-ticket for public transport in 2012

A single e-ticket for public transport rides will be introduced in Minsk in 2012, BELTA news agency reports quoting Minsk City Council deputy chairman Aliaksandr Barysenka. Special devices will have been installed on all the public transport vehicles in Minsk this year. They will allow to track all the vehicles.

The costs of electronic tickets will differ, depending on the number of rides, the time of travel and duration.

The Minsk Metro is planned to introduce e-tickets in 2011.
