Minsk rescuers get ready for flood
Weather forecasters predict heavy showers. ERB has phoned the press secretary of the Emergency Control Ministry Vital Navitski to find out how rescuers are getting ready for the caprices of the weather. He said that they were not planning to switch to intense service now but it may be preformed in several minutes.
Vіtal Navіtskі: “We do not have a notion of a heavy flood or hurricane. We are ready to react to any emergency. If it is necessary to intensify our work, it will be done in several dozen minutes in the city and district and in the whole republic”.
Intense service means more rescuers involved in the work and more equipment used. However, 11 machines were used during the yesterday’s flood in Nyamiha Street even without it. They could also use 30 if it was necessary, says Vital Navitski.
