Belarusian tennis veteran Max Mirnyi has been hospitalized with an acute infection days after Belarus lost a playoff Davis Cup tie to Poland, the Komsomolskaya Pravda reported.

Both members of the team Mirnyi and Uladzimir Valchkou had high temperature during the tie. Valchkou is recovering in his Minsk apartment. Mirnyi is expected to spend three to seven days in hospital.
