"Missing, but unforgotten" Belarusians to be commemorated in the Netherlands

A ceremony of commemoration of missing Belarusians, as well as festive opening of the photo exhibition "Missing, but unforgotten" are to take place in Eindhoven, informs Radio Liberty. The representative of the Mayor's office Staf Deplo is to open the photo exhibition dedicated to struggle for truthful information about violent disappearances of people in Belarus in the St. Catherine's Church in Eindhoven on the 11th anniversary of disappearance of Viktar Hanchar and Anatol Krasouski, at 3.30 p.m. The exhibition will last till September 30.

Two years ago, on September 16 2008, four oaks were planted with participation of municipal authorities. This was the way to honour the memory of missing politicians Jury Zakharanka, Viktar Hanchar, Anatol Krasouski and journalist Zmitser Zavadzki.

This year the ceremony will be opened by the activist of the campaign "We remember" Valerya Krasouskaya, the daughter of Anatol Krasouski.

A poet Leo Messman, whose poem is graven on the memorial shield near the trees, will recite his new poem. The participants of the ceremony will also honour the memory of the journalist Aleh Biabenin with a minute of silence.
