Monument to Bahuševič demolished in Zhuprany. For reconstruction

The monument to Francišak Bahuševičhas disappeared from the grave of the famous poet in Zhuprany. Nn.by informs about it. Let us remind you that this is an anniversary year - 170 years since the birth and 110 years since the death of the man who helped associate the name “Belarusians” with Belarusians.

Employees of the cultural department of Ashmyany District Executive Committee responsible for the monument claim that the monuments to Bahuševič and his relatives are being replaced. The Ministry of Culture allowed it in May. Granite monuments have already been created with the help of sponsors’ money and will be installed soon.
