Monument to Uladzimir Karatkevich planned in Kiev

The call for the best design of the monument to Belarusian legendary writer Uladzimir Karatkevich in the Ukrainian capital city of Kiev has been extended to March 1. The official news agency BELTA reports that the gallery of the Belarusian State Arts Academy is holding a contest. The monument will be erected in Kiev this year near the Belarusian embassy's building. 16 authors took part in the contest. They presented 19 design drafts.

Two designs were shortlisted after the first stage. They will continue taking part in the contest.
