More than 200 nomination groups applied for registration
District election commissions
have received more than 200 applications for the registration of groups that
intend to collect ballot-access signatures for parliamentary candidates,
Mikalay Lazavik, secretary of the central election commission, told ERB.
Some of the groups have
already been registered, he said, but would not specify the exact number.
"Commissions were formed
on July 14. Nomination groups could file applications between July 14 and 24.
Under the law, a district commission has five days to consider an
application," Lazavik explained.
July 24 is the deadline for
applying for the registration of nomination groups.
