More than 2.5 thousand people commit suicide in Belarus every year

It even exceeds the number of victims of road accidents, said the director of the psychiatry department of Belarusian Medical Academy of advanced studies, Doctor of Medicine Raman Eusyahneyeu: Eusyahneyeu: "Suicides are a great social problem for a big number of states, not only for Belarus. More than 2.5 thousand people commit suicide here. Compare: about 1200 people die in road accidents every year. People who could live commit suicide, and the situation could have changed if the problem had been identified on time and people had received assistance – in that case most of the people could have stayed alive”.
