More than 40 thousand alcoholics are registered in Homel Region

Over 40.7 thousand alcoholics are registered in Homel Region healthcare institutions. More than 13 thousands need prophylaxis while 27.5 thousands undergo regular medical check-ups. Over 393 chronic alcoholics including 84 women underwent forced treatment from January to May. There were 2.2 times fewer women in the same period of the last year. More than 6 thousand citizens received help in regional sobering-up stations. Over 4.5 thousands were jobless.
