More than 500 thousand people already voted
7.2% of electors have taken part in Belarusian presidential election in the first two days of the early voting.
The Central Election Commission secretary Mikalai Lazavik has informed a BelTA reporter about it.
According to Lazavik, the early voting is “quite dynamic”. The second
day is absolutely quiet and no violations of the Election Code have been
registered, added the secretary of the Central Election Commission. Let
us note that independent observers have already registered a number of
violations during the early voting.
Elderly people and students are the most active early voters, says
Lazavik. He surmised that young people probably intended to vote early
in order to use the weekend for something else instead of the election.
