Myantsyuk who rammed “live shield” is not amnestied

The “live shield” incident occurred on March 2, 2008. The police made a barricade created of ordinary Minskers’ cars to stop the drunk driver. People were not allowed to get out of their cars. As a result, a few cars got damaged and some drivers and passengers received injuries.
Besides Raman Myantsyuk, his wife Volha was sentenced to two years on probation for giving a car key to a drunk person. The two former policemen who created “the live shield” were put on probation for two years.
