"Naftan" may be sold to Chavez

Venezuelan companies may become stockholders of Belarusian oil-processing plants. According to BelaPAN, the senior Prime Minister Uladzimir Syamashka has claimed it. The official reminded that more than 40% of stocks of Mazyr oil-processing plant belonged to Russia and that all the whole holding of stock of “Naftan” belonged to Belarus.

According to Syamashka, Belarus has never concealed that it is looking or investors for these enterprises. However, a potential investor should offer an investment programme “for the next ten years”.

If Belarus likes the terms, the investor may get any holding of stock including the control stock, notes the senior Prime Minister.
