NATO maneuvers begin in Kazakhstan

Kazakhstan, British and American troops will begin 10-day NATO maneuvers in a firing ground Illinski not far from Almaty.
More than a thousand soldiers will take part in them. The eighth maneuvers are part of a NATO programme “Partnership for Peace”, informs Radio Liberty. Accoridng to the British military attaché, this year’s maneuvers are aimed at helping Kazakhstan create forces able to join the alliance of NATO in possible peacekeeping missions.
