NATO officials to visit Belarus over technical cooperation

A delegation from NATO's International Secretariat is expected in Minsk to discuss the reforms of the Belarusian defense complex, a NATO spokesman told the Belarusian journalists on December 10. It is yet to be announced who will be part of the delegation.
According to NATO, the information to be discussed by the two sides during the negotiations is classified. However, the talks could focus on the preparation of peace-making missions from Belarus and on the exchange of experience in international missions and international cooperation, reports Belapan.

The NATO spokesman noted that on the one hand his organization criticized Belarus from setting back from democratic freedoms. On the other hand, NATO preserved relations with Belarus at the level of technical cooperation.
