New detentions of opposition members take place in Minsk

New detentions of democratic activists are taking place in Minsk in connection with the explosion that took place on July 4. As we informed yesterday, an activist of the “European Belarus” campaign Pavel Kuryanovich was detained after a search in his flat. "Charter-97" informs that a member of the Political Council of the United Civil Party Alyaksandr Serhienka has also been detained for three days. Policemen found tacks on his balcony. The flat of a youth activist Illya Bohdan was searched too. According to the press service of BNF, he has been detained.

Eight people have already been detained in connection with the explosion case. Besides the people mentioned above, they are: Ihar Korsak, Miraslau Lazouski, Victar Lyashchynski, Syarhei Chyslau and Anton Koipish.

It became known that Ihar Korsak was going to go on a hunger strike to express his protest yesterday.
