New explosion at Ukraine mine
A new explosion occurred this morning at the Zasyadko mine in Ukraine, where around 100 miners had been killed by a gas blast in mid November, reports Ria-Novosti.
Five people were injured, said the Ukraine's National Miners Rescue Service. The explosion occurred at the same depth as the previous blast. 385 miners were underground at the moment of the blast.
The fate of 35 people remains unknown. At the same time, Ukraine's Emergencies Ministry said there were no damage or casualities. The prosecutor's office opened a criminal cased into the accident. This is the sixth explosion at this mine over the past eight years.
