New head of Minsk OSCE office gets down to work
Today is the first work day of the new head of Minsk OSCE office, a German diplomat Benedikt Haller. According to Radio “Liberty”, Haller is a professional diplomat who used to be a roving ambassador in the German Ministry of Foreign Affairs. He was responsible for dealing with Holocaust and anti-Semitism issues.
Benedikt Haller is the fourth German diplomat to head of the office in Minsk. It used to be headed by Hans-Georg Vik, Ebergard Heiken and Hans Johann Schmidt. A Swedish diplomat Oke Peterson also headed the office.
