Newsprint factory's launch failed in Shklou
The long-awaited launch of a newly built factory in Shklou did not take place yesterday. Journalists and government officials gathered for the function but could not witness the first produce.
The factory's management declined to comment, but local official sources said that some defects in the production line were identified at the very last moment, writes Sovietskaya Belorussia. Experts are now working to eliminate the malfunctions.
The Belarusian factory invited engineers from Austria, Finland and Italy due to the lack of domestic specialists.
The official propaganda maintains that the newsprint factory in Shklou will meet the demand of Belarusian newspapers. There will be no need any more to purchase newsprint in Russia.
