Norwegian Belarusian arrives in Vancouver to support Olympians

Canadian Belarusians root for Belarusian sportsmen in Vancouver as well as members of our delegation.
The press representative of the National Olympic Committee Pyotr Rabuhin has informed BelaPAN that local Belarusians contacted him and asked for flags so that they could support our hockey team. According to him, a Norwegian Belarusian approached him during the women’s sprint race in Wistler. It was his first visit to Vancouver and he managed to get to Wistler on his own although the way there and back takes six or seven hours, noted Rabuhin.

14 volunteers helped the Belarusian delegation, eight of them speak Russian (one person is in Minsk).

Speaking about dope tests, Rabuhin notes that Belarusian sportsmen have not been tested since the beginning of the Olympics. Olympians underwent 12 dope tests earlier. Six biathletes (a man and five women) and three skiers (a man and two women) went through the procedure. Three biathletes had to do it twice.
