Norwegian inspectors in Belarus skies
A group of Norwegian inspectors today is expected to monitor the territory of Belarus and Russia from a military plane. The inspection will take place in the framework of the Open Skies international agreement. The Norwegians will be flying a Swedish plance equipped with special radar. The Russian news agency Ria-Novosti reports this will be the third flight over the territory of Belarus this year.
The Open Skies agreement was signed in March 1992, but its practical implementation began only six years ago. As of today, 34 nations fron Europe and the North America are the members of the agreement.
