NTV to air Godfather new series today

The Russian television channel NTV has run several anouncements that Godfather film will be aired later today. The fourth part of the series is titled Last Autumn. According to adverts, the film will answer several questions like: "How did a parliamentary mandate save Lukashenka from jail?", "Who faked journalist Oleg Bebenin's suicide?" and "How were the others killed?". A member of the Belarusian 'death squad' is expected to testify in the film, according to the advert. All of the three previous parts of Godfather, aired by NTV, were devoted to Alexander Lukashenka. The series focus on corruption and human rights abuses in Belarus. The Belarusian leader is portrayed as a ruthless dictator.
 
On October 7, the Belarusian parliament issued a statement to Russia's lower house of parliament, the State Duma. Belarusian lawmakers said they could not accept "this campaign aimed at discrediting the head of the Belarusian state in Russia's central media". Such actions harm the development of amicable relations betwee the countries and peoples, National Assembly of Belarus said in a statement.
