October Revolution anniversary marked in Pinsk
The October Revolution Day was marked by placing wreaths on October 7. Several hundred Pinskers gathered in Lenin Square and laid wreaths on the monument to the leader of the revolution. The event was followed by a brass band procession to the memory sign installed in honour of those who fought for the Soviet power in Pinsk District. Representatives of the local authorities took part in a small meeting there. Vladimir Lenin and Karl Marx’s busts can also be found in Pinsk but nobody laid flowers on them for some reason.
