Office of Public Prosecutor to continue investigation of Aleh Byabenin’s death
The investigation of the death of a journalist of “Charter’97” Aleh Byabenin may be prolonged for one more month. The senior assistant of Minsk Province Public Prosecutor Tatstsyana Kalinina has informed ERB about it. Kalіnіna: "The term of the investigation of Byabenin’s case has not been prolonged yet. But there is a plan to do it. It will simply be a planned check-up”.
The assistant of the prosecutor did not mention the reason why the term of the investigation was going to be prolonged. By the way, it will be the second prolongation of the journalist’s death investigation. The term was prolonged until November 3 last time.
Let us remind you that Aleh Byabenin was found hanged in his country house not far from Minsk on September 3. The first version of his death was a suicide. Then the Office of the Public Prosecutor claimed that it did not exclude the possibility of the journalist’s murder.
