Olympic Flame burning on Everest summit

Part of the flame of Beijing Olympics 2008 has been delivered to the highest point in the world – Mount Everest (Chomolungma). It happened at 4 a.m. EEST. It is the first time the Olympic Flame has been raised this high.

The flame delivered to the peak was separated from the flame that had arrived in Beijing from Greece. The main part of the flame has finished its “tour” and the Torch Relay is going through 113 Chinese cities now.
