Olympic incentives for Belarus athletes in Beijing
Special cash prizes are appointed by Belarusian Lotteries Co as additional incentives for the Belarusian athletes who will become winners or runners-up during the Olympic Games in Beijing. Golden medalists will get $20,000, while silver medalists will receive $10,000. $5000 will be given to bronze holders, reports Minsk-News agency.
The government has also appointed cash prizes for the athletes: $100,000 (gold); $50,000 (silver) and $30,000 (bronze). Medal holders will also get apartments in the capital city Minsk.
