Only 37% of families have more than one child

Almost 63% of Belarusian families have only one child. 31.5% of families having children have two kids, and 5.7% - three kids. On the whole, there are 1 million 411 thousand families bringing up 1 million 785 thousand 387 children under  the age of 18 in our country.  The information has been announced by the Ministry of Education. By the way, children make up almost 18.5% of the whole Belarusian population. The number of children continued decreasing in Belarus last year. The biggest decrease was registered in Vitsebsk Region – by 6.5 thousand people; the slightest decrease was in Minsk where the number of children decreased by fewer than 2 thousand people, informs BelaPAN.
