Only 5 of 45 BPF representatives included in Minsk election commissions
Only 5 of 45 representatives of the BPF Party have been included into precinct election commissions on presidential elections in Minsk. This was informed to BelaPAN by the Vice-Chairman of Minsk party organization Vadzim Kanapatski. According to Kanapatski, Minsk authorities' willingness to conduct transparent and democratic elections is doubtful, taking into consideration the results of precinct commissions' formation.
"Opposition parties' presense in the precinct election commissions remains minimal, as before. A certain level of liberalization which could be observed at the stage of collecting signatures has not covered one of the key stages of the election campaign - formation of precinct election commissions, which will deal with counting of votes directly", — stated Kanapatski.
