ONT to continue dealing with “Eurovision” in Belarus
ONT will continue dealing with “Eurovision” in Belarus. The head of the channel’s press service Tatstsyana Kurbat has explained the ONT’s position to ERB: Tatstsyana Kurbat: "We have not realized whether we would like to deal with “Eurovision” or not. Little time has passed and we have to take a detached view of it and to reinterpret it. Nothing has changed so far – we will continue dealing with “Eurovision”.
The ONT is still trying to join the “European Broadcasting Union” (EBU). However, Tatstsyana Kurbat thinks that it is not obligatory judging by this year’s experience.
Tatstsyana Kurbat: "Of course it would be great to become a member of the European Broadcasting Union. However, the next EBU session will be organized in the middle of at the end of June. Homich (Syarhei Homich – the senior deputy head of the board of directors of a closed company “Second National Channel” – ERB’s note) told yesterday that we did not really need it”.
