ONT refuses to shoot “Vitaut”

The ONT channel has refused to shoot a feature film “Vitaut”. The administration of the channel has decided not to go beyond a 2-series “documentary”. Two reasons that have made them to close the project are lack of money needed to shoot a good film and the violation of the term after which the film had to be released.

According to the UDF’s website, “Vitaut” was supposed to be shot by the presidential elections. The conducted work was kept a secret from the public and mass media. Viewers were supposed to see an image of Alyaksandr Lukashenka in the ancient prince - a strong person who managed “to raise the country from its knees” and guarantee its independence from external threats. However, it became evident that it would be impossible to shoot a good film in six months (the presidential election campaign will start then).
