Opposition activist cleared of terrorism charges

Kanstantsin Ulanau, an activist from the Conservative Christian Party -- Belarusian Popular Front, has been cleared of charges of taking part in a terrorist group. He was detained in July and spent 10 days in a pretrial detention. The Afghanistan war veteran was fetched for interrogations as a suspect in a terrorism case.

Radio Svaboda reports that Ulanau hopes that similar charges will be cleared from Mikalai Autukhovich, an entrepreneur from Vaukavysk who has remained detained since February 2009.
