Opposition politicians call on people to come to solidarity action today
Opposition representatives invited the citizens to the solidarity action on December 21 at 6 p.m. The action will take place near the detention center. The politicians want to express their solidarity with the detained presidential candidates and participants of the action on December 19. Let us remind you, a press-conference with representatives of democratic parties and civil organizations took place today in Minsk. Victar Ivashkevich, Aliaksandr Milinkevich, Viachaslau Siuchyk, Leu Marholin, Ryhor Kastusyou and Aliaksej Janukevich were present.
The representatives of the democratic parties and public associations said that at the press-conference on December 21. According to Aliaksandr Milinkevich, there's no democracy without solidarity.
Milinkevich: “We need to show our solidarity with people. It's not just a political case - it's civil case. If you fail to notice violation of human rights, you will never be free. Internal solidarity is very important. I called on everyone who cares to come to Akrestsina today to express our solidarity with those who are there”.
The politician added that the EP Chair Jerzy Buzek stated his solidarity yesterday. Now Aliaksandr Milinkevich is preparing a letter to EU leaders.
