Opposition's Social March planned in November
The Political Council of the United Pro-Democracy Forces has updated the time schedule of what is named as a social campaign. An awareness campaign associated with the issue of the abolition of social benefits will be taking place throughout summer. On September 30, a wave of public actions will be staged under the single title across the nations.
Anatol Liabedzka, the leader of the United Civil Party told ERB about the details of the campaign:
"It will be one day of joint actions across the whole Belarus. We plan to cover from 70 to 100 districts in the country, where we will file applications for a picket or a rally.
The format of the actions will be finally determined by regional organizations, structures and coalitions".
On October 2, petitions, signatures and appeals will be filed with the House of Representatives. ( Lawmakers will gather for their fall session on that day).
Liabedzka also said they were also set to implement their initiative to revoke the mandates of several the most odious members of the parliament.
The Social March will take place on November 11 in Minsk to become a culmination of the social campaign organized by the united pro-democracy forces.
The opposition is expected next week to announce the new dates of the European March, which was initially planned to take place in October.
