Organizer of Orsha workers’ mass strike Mikalai Razumau is released
Mikalai Razumau - a former leader of the workers’ movement in Orsha – has been released. He organized a mass strike 20 years ago and led Orsha workers to the railway to demand global economic reforms in the state.
According to Radio liberty, Razumau served his sentence for a public statement about Lukashenka’s involvement in the murder of Victar Hanchar and the other missing politicians. He was sentenced to three years of imprisonment in a labour camp in 2006 but was sent there only in November 2010. Mikalai Razumau has been released because “the time limitation of the verdict has expired”.
